Alexxa brings 15 years of experience as a communications specialist, content strategist, writer, and editor with arts and culture organizations.

She can punch up your copy or build a multi-channel editorial strategy that grows your audience. She’s also a meticulous editor, shaping sentences with speed, care, and a deep love of storytelling. She even creates comprehensive style guides to hone your brand voice and ensure quality across your written work.

Alexxa is currently the Associate Director of Communications at Oakland Museum of California (OMCA). Previously, she served as Account Director at Sutton Communications, Content Director at This by That, Assistant Managing Editor at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Staff Writer at Artsy, and Research Assistant and Deitch Projects. As an independent consultant, she’s collaborated with David Zwirner, International Center of Photography, Pace Gallery, and Startbahn.

She studied Art History at Middlebury College, where her thesis focused on Nan Goldin’s art and activism. She’s currently based in the Bay Area and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, a place she’s very passionate about.
